About
Welcome to Cento Ristorante, a premiere Italian restaurant in downtown Madison, where we combine Old World Italian traditions with modern techniques. We source quality ingredients– locally, and from Italy– to create classic and innovative dishes that let these products shine.
Translating to “100” in Italian, the significance behind Cento’s name (pronounced Chento), lies in our location – the bustling 100 block of downtown Madison, on the corner of Mifflin and Fairchild. Located directly across the street from the architecturally modern Overture Center for the Arts, and one block from the State Capitol, Cento is the perfect downtown destination for great food, wine and service in an elegant setting.
Join us for handmade pastas, slow-roasted meats and pizza from our wood-burning oven; our open-style kitchen lets you watch our staff in action as your meal is prepared. Sommeliers bring their extensive experience and wine expertise to Cento, where they have selected an Italian-focused wine list featuring over 150 bottles, with over 20 poured by the glass. Whether you are coming in for a glass of wine and a pizza, or our 5-course kitchen table menu, we promise to provide you with an exceptional dining experience.
Inherent in our existing space are maple floors, plaster beam ceilings, interior brick walls, and stained glass dating back to the 1920′s, all enhanced with modern design details like plush booths.
